radial menu

Is it possible to add a spacebar to the radial menu so that you can edit points, edges and polygons without pressing a key, but do it with the mouse

Are you asking if you can assign Spacebar as a shortcut to open a custom pie menu? Yes, it is possible to do that already with keymap assignment in your addon. If you are asking if there will be a default keymap Spacebar to open a pie menu that doesn't exist yet to include menu items as shown - that rests on those who want this as well and will code the addon that way. Many addons already exist for custom pie menus, but the one Pie Menu Editor is really good or was until the main dev left for awhile. There is some support in the thread over on Blenderartists, and maybe you can ask questions there. blenderartists.org/t/pie-menu-editor-1-18-7/662456/5342

I think OP is more talking about the ability to enter a modal where mouse pointer controls the properties of the transformation.

You should be able to do this by making your own radial menu with the tools that you want in it. Blender is very keyboard-shortcut centric and doesn't prioritize radial menus to the same degree that Max or Maya do, so it isn't likely that a holistic modeling radial menu will be implemented.
