Editor Resizing Behavior in Blender

Another improvement needed in Blender’s interface is that when an editor reaches its minimum size, it should continue resizing in the same direction by affecting the next editor behind it. Currently, it just stops and stays in place, which disrupts the flow.

yeah, it'd be super nice if the window separators could push each other

Sometimes I want an editor to be zero size, though. So if this was implemented it would need to snap and then pass a threshold and then move the editor adjacent. It would also have to remember the nudged window's original position until left click is released. Otherwise, people might be adjusting windows when they dont want to and cant return them to their position.

I feel this needs more explanation in order to actually work well.

Editor resizing could use a modifier key allowing for this and other things (such as de-syncing dragging a divisor that spans multiple editors so that one can resize one of them only).

If these options were shown in the contextual menu that appears when one right-clicks a divisor, we could assign our own keyboard modifiers, I guess.
