Can we get OpenCL “turned back on” for Mac OS, please
By all accounts Open CL isn’t going away from Mac OS anytime soon. As of the last beta of Catalina, and with the Gold Master releasing next week, it looks like OpenCL is going to be supported in another OS version for Macs
I would hate that 10 years from now Apple is still supporting it but Mac user still won’t be able to render with AMD GPUs (Cycles) in Blender.
Thanks, Tim

Amen. I understood that Apple was not supporting Open Cl, even though it is still present. The ball is in Apple's court; isn't that right?
* @ingapambi * Actually the Ball is in Blender's court now. Apple is showing that it's going to continue supporting OpenCL in yet another OS version.
I think once again Apple is listening to the "Pro" users in every field... and from what I hear the original announcement to drop OpenCL, and use only one proprietary graphics language, wasn't taken very well.
* @Timothy Cook * Existing is not the same as actively supported. Have they fixed the compiler bugs that were the reason it was removed in the first place? lists.blender.org/pipermail/bf-committers/2018-December/049695.html
Sorry for the late reply, This website hasn’t been working for me the last few days.
Yeah, I’ve thought of that, but I was under the assumption that Apple keeps their OS up to date until the day they officially pull the plug on depreciated apps. Though I could be wrong for assuming. 😬 * @Scaredyfish *
