"save versions" should have an option for putting them into chosen folders, and have an infinite versions option.

Basically what title says. In larger productions it would be great to have many versions of files. For example in my current work, my boss told me that it would be ideal to save every time as a new version of the file I'm working on, so I can go back to better versions if I screwed up something, like the new take of the clip wasn't ideal, or I broke something that would be easier to fix by going back to a version that was like 50 versions behind. And since these versions will take a lot of space (not byte-wise but folder will get a lot of version files) in the same folder where the main file is located, it will get cluttered real quick, so a folder where older files will go automatically without me manually moving older versions there and renaming them all the time would be absolutely perfect.

So yea, I need an option for:

  • infinite save versions (you can currently do only 32 max)
  • custom location for older versions

Plus I'd rather have this feature increment the filename instead of the file extension. It's so annoying to be forced to assign a new default program for each new extension.
Keep file extensions simple, it's such a fundamental programming rule.
