Large scene optimization and enhanced special effects functions

From the first contact with Blender to the present, Blender has become more and more powerful, but the gap compared with software of the same type is still not small.

  1. Large scene performance optimization: It is hoped to enhance the computing performance of the software, and comprehensively improve the performance of Blender through various means such as multi-threading, GPU acceleration, and algorithm optimization to meet the needs of handling large projects and improving work efficiency.
  2. Enhanced special effects functions: 1. Add more particle control parameters and effects, such as particle collisions, particle emitter types, etc. 2. Fluid simulation optimization: Improve the accuracy and efficiency of fluid simulation to enable it to simulate more complex fluid effects. 3. Rigid body and soft body dynamics: Enhance the simulation ability of rigid body and soft body to achieve more realistic physical effects. 3. Cloth simulation: Improve the cloth simulation function to make it easier to create and control realistic cloth effects. 4. Smoke and flame simulation: Provide more accurate smoke and flame simulation. 5. Magic and special effect elements: Add specific magic effects, energy beams and other special effect elements.
  3. Animation system improvement: Hope to be able to edit animation curves in the view.
  4. UI interface optimization: The current UI interface of Blender is very unfriendly to new users, even for old users. It is hoped that the future UI design can be more intuitive, easy to operate, and reduce the learning curve.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to write this long proposal.

However, a couple issues here:

  1. Because this platform is meant to discuss and vote ideas, it is necessary to have only one feature per proposal. Otherwise, it makes the votes meaningless, and discussing the proposals is complicated.

  2. this platform is best suited for proposing new features or specific enhancements to existing tools. As the homepage puts it:

This is the place to make your proposals. Share your idea with the community. Discuss it. Revise it. Flesh it out to the point that it's a well thought-out, actionable proposal that a Blender developer can work with.

Simply asking for "better things" (even for a specific tool) is too broad and doesn't provide the developers with actionable information, nor the community with relatable topics we can exchange about and push forward to help the developers. Everyone (developers first) wants improved performance and functionalities everywhere. There's nothing to be discussed or voted here.
