Unbevel tool (or reverse bevel tool)
The title says it all, it would be great if the bevel tool (not modifier) could be reversed. This could work in the following way: first you would have to select multiple edges that are part of a bevel, the unbevel tool would interpolate the edges back to a sharp corner in the same way the bevel tool handles. Or even better, it would also be able to enlarge the bevel and add or remove edge loops to/from the bevel.

John, Keeping a modifier forever is not practical for some models - say for example you are making a complex object for 3D printing. Eventually all modifiers must be applied when a version is finished, as the final mesh needs to be checked for artifacts that could affect the print (using the 3D Printing addon).
That's just one example, workflows differ. Being able to unbevel and unchamfer saves a lot of time.
I do use MeshMachine (the original version). It does have a lot of fantastic features, I can't wait for the final release. There is a lot of features there that can and should be included in Blender.
* @paul.wanamaker * Fair enough!
agreed, this should be built-in functionality. But for the time being it's possible in paid addons like MeshMachine (which has other awesome functionality)
@eldee.smith: That's the one! That's a great looking add-on. I haven't tried it yet, but this would be a great addition to master. This would give us a better bevel workflow than I've seen in any other software.
There is a paid add on that does this. I cannot find it right now, but yeah it looks like a really great feature and would be an excellent addition to blender.
i found this addon :
bartoszstyperek.gumroad.com/l/rebevel
Addons that have an "un-bevel" feature:
MESHmachine: blenderartists.org/t/meshmachine/1102529/636
MIRAtools: blenderartists.org/t/miratools/637385
KeKit: blenderartists.org/t/kekit-for-blender-2-8/1200740
Isn't this what the bevel modifier is for? What is wrong with using the modifier?
No. Bevel modifier is non-destructive procedural modelling tool. This is for something that is already modelled in a destructive way. The existence of this feature in many add-ons shows that it is in fact useful and needed. There is nothing wrong with using modifier, however it is possible to use bevel without modifier, this is where it goes wrong and this functionality is to fix what goes wrong.
