To be able to restore or backup Original Rotation Transfrom values ( N Panel ) of an object at anytime
I think what important Feature Blender is lacking of is not being able to Restore Rotation Values of an Object after Apply (Ctrl + a ) or Seperate/Join (Ctrl + J / P ) considering an Object is Organic and Complex Enough to not being able to Restore it's Original Rotation transform values , it really is so wonderful and helpful to have this feature in next Updates .

Sounds unreal cause i don't really get where to keep this data? In faces or in vertices, if detach half of object and attach to half of another what will happen?.. as abstract idea i think it's interesting suggestion...hm but if every poly will hold its initial obj position as kinda color position scheme? (color as vector i mean)..
Separated objects keep their rotation, you can reset it fine; Joined objects get the rotation of the active one (which rotation otherwise - they're becoming ONE object), and the whole point of applying rotation is to make the rotation permanent.
I don't quite understand what you want.
I am confused by your proposal. If you don't want to have a destructive workflow, don't use destructive tools.
It could be a thing if Blender was made of nodes from start to finish, but then again it would be like asking a way to backup a node tree after applying it. If you want to work non-destructively, use non-destructive tools.
Tools are ok , i think it was nicer , the Rotations was restorable just like locations in Transform N Panel ,,, Example when you miss Rotation values while you are sculpting on multiple objects Linked to one object they all inherit the orientation of active one
