Apply materials to multiple objects in more simple way

Right now to Apply materials to multiple objects must do some operation like this: youtube.com/watch

  • it's little confused in my opinion in relation as clone/duplicated object
  • in my opinion if objects are selected (not only last activated/focued object) and operating on material should be applied to all without some additional actions like ctr+L etc (without linkinng - coz why.. linking? It's should be more like copied version with free option to change)

You can just select every object that you want to change the material, make object with the material you want to apply to the rest the active object and click on the down arrow under the add and remove material slots in the material properties window and click on the "Copy to selected".

You not tested this, coz it's working for last selected not all selected.

Maybe we are talking about different cases

When I have 5 cubes and of them has a material, I select all cubes without a material and then the last one and click on the down arrow under the add and remove material slots in the material properties window and click on the "Copy to selected".
