Ability to force evaluation of a groupe/node

I was trying to setup a group node that would output the value of a variable in the Warning section of a Geometry node, but I realized that groups that don't contribute to the geometry are not evaluated. Would it be a good idea to add a checkbox in the group option to force the evaluation of the group eventhough it does not impact the geometry ? Or better yet, simply consider that the warning output node is contributing to the Geometry so that it shows up in the modifier tab like it does for "root" geometry.

To illustrate, a simple example. I am outputing the frame through the warning node, this is visible in the modifier under the warning tab.

However, the same value that goes through my "Debug" node does not show up, and it says the value (frame) is not evaluated.

Maybe there is a better way to debug the values of variables along a complicated node tree... This was just my intuition guiding me and hitting a wall.
