Please don't remove proxy support

Blender is in the process of removing proxy functionality from blender in favour of library overrides.

Library overrides are great for some purposes, but they don't exactly replicate the functionality of proxies. Aside from the fact that this change will break existing workflows and character/resource files, library overrides also have disadvantages.

Library overrides are far less performant when working with complex rigged characters.

Library overrides add complexity that is unneeded in many use cases.

Library overrides are buggy (I'm still trying to figure out why some of my characters make blender hang/crash as overrides, when they worked fine as proxies)

Library overrides have a much bigger file size overhead. I have two blend files of the same scene, involving two characters and a set. The version using proxies is 21 megabytes. The version using library overrides is almost 500 megabytes, which is about the size of the two character source files combined. This eliminates a lot of the point of linking instead of appending.

To summarize: Library overrides are a fine feature with useful functionality, but they do not make proxies obsolete. Please please do not remove proxy functionality. It works just fine and there is no need to make it go away.
