Auto-Apply* Actions to All Selected Objects (Auto alt-click)
Currently, in Blender, applying (*edit: propagate, copy, transfer) changes (e.g., materials, modifiers, etc.) to multiple selected objects requires holding Alt while performing the action. While this allows precise control, it can become repetitive and slows down workflows, especially when working with many objects.
Proposal: Add an option in Preferences > Editing to enable a “Multi-Object Auto-Apply*” mode. When this mode is active:
• Actions like applying* materials, transforms, or modifiers would automatically apply* to all selected objects without needing Alt.
• This behavior would be opt-in, maintaining Blender’s current default for those who prefer the existing system.
This feature would:
• Simplify repetitive tasks involving multiple objects.
• Improve accessibility for new users unfamiliar with the Alt workflow.
• Enhance workflow efficiency for advanced users working in complex scenes.

I wouldn't word it with "apply", that could be confused with other things in Blender. Instead, why not " Propagate user action to selection " sounds more accurate and descriptive enough to be understandable with no prior knowledge.
But yes, definitely. Also when enabled, inverse the ⎇ Alt key behavior to make the user action affect only the active object.
vaild point! I have made an edit. thx!

is it already in development?
