Since it works on curves maybe it could work on edges too?

you also can't preview attribute on vertices that are not attached to a face. I think it is always necessary to convert geometry to points / curves to preview attribute even tho it is counterintuitive and sounds wrong. I think it'd be great to be able to visualize directly on the intended domain even if there's no face
