Append an Empty with Its Entire Hierarchy
It would be very useful if Blender's Append operation had an option to append an object together with its entire child hierarchy.
For example, if I have:
Empty.002
├── Object
├── Object
│ └── Object
└── Object
and append
Empty.002
from another
.blend
file, there could be an option such as
"Include Children"
that brings in the Empty and all objects parented under it while preserving the hierarchy.
Currently, appending the Empty alone does not bring along its children. The workaround is to first put the entire hierarchy into a Collection and append the Collection instead.
However, this feels like a weird and unnecessarily indirect workaround . If an Empty is being used as the root of an object hierarchy, the parenting relationship already clearly defines which objects belong to that hierarchy. There shouldn't need to be a separate Collection just to make Append bring those objects along.
A native "Append Object + Children" option would be useful for asset hierarchies, mechanical assemblies, furniture, animation setups, and other Empty-based groups.
It would make the Append workflow much more intuitive and allow Blender to directly respect the existing parent/child hierarchy.

This would be good for the asset browser too.
