Ergonomic features for nodal workflow.
As Blender slowly turning into node based software it's time for additional ergonomics improvements to the nodal workflow that some of them already exist in other areas of Blender.
- Right now to connect between the sockets you have to click hold and drag each time or use node's wrangler lazy connect which puts more stress on the hand and the wrist over time.
A single click on the socket should starts the noodle without having to hold LMB similar to how the G,R & S transforms behave. This would work great with the newly added feature "Edge-scrolling".
- The noodle" line" should be selectable/detachable with a single click and also sticks to the mouse cursor instead of click & hold.
- is something like in this proposal but with a click on empty space. Basically both options of single click from the socket and the hold & drag could coexist and be provided to the end users who prefer one over the other or both.
Open Menu & Search Function After Dragging a Noodle and Releasing

We need this, it reduces so much the effort of connecting nodes.
That sounds nice, click on a socket once, it sticks to cursor, then if in empty space, left click could start the search, right click / ESC would cancel it.
I very much support this! I even made an AHK hotkey that does the "dragging without mouse pressed" thing, it would be amazing to have these things built in.

And bonus idea - while dragging the noodle, holding
ctrlcould normally snap to grid, so the new spawned node's top-left corner would be nicely aligned. That's another great idea thumbs up.
I would also really like to see to see this!
