More orientations for the Empty shapes.

The menu icon for a Cone Empty is pointing up but the actual empty is always pointing sideways. There should be another Cone shaped empty that actually points up. Same with the circle empty. I most often want a circle that points up but instead the Empty always points sideways. For this reason I often choose to make custom polygon shapes and set them to wireframe instead of using Empties.

Maybe adding and option for display transformations that is actually separated from the actual local transformations of the object, the same way you can change the empties size without changing it's scale :U

Having custom orientations for Empties is really important. At least for Single Arrow, Circle and Cone.

Choose between X/Y/Z for circle, or even better: +X-X / +Y-Y / +Z-Z for Arrow and Cone.

And also a great option would be “Camera/View” orientation, where the Circle, for example, always look flat, pointing to us, no matter how we look at it.

Coming from Modo these limitations of Empties is something that was a bad surprise for me (even if I LOVE my journey with Blender)

Using Delta Transforms is just a hack or workaround that could cause various headaches, since Empties are crucial for good hierarchies, and lot of times we need to reserve the Deltas for internal and complex setups.

Also: more basic shapes as Square or a simple Dot would very welcome.

In Modo we have also a Color for Empties (VERY useful) and options for a Solid/Wireframe aspect.

Alternatively, use delta transforms (haven't tried but I guess it'd work)
