Offset Mesh Origin - Geometry Node

It would be useful to have a node that allows you to offset the origin of an object in Geometry Nodes.

For example, I often use the Track To constraint for keeping my lights pointed at an object. This constraint always points at the origin of a mesh, and sometimes the origin of a GN mesh isn't where I want my lights pointing. Screenshot 2023-04-03 at 7.22.00 PM.png

I think this doesn't make too much sense since geometry nodes change the object at mesh level, maybe I'm wrong. For now, you can parent to a vertex and transform the vertex through geometry nodes as a workaround.

This workaround seems really hack, implementing such feature could be helpful on many things that use object origin such as for example camera DOF, constraints, parenting etc...

The proposal of OP is ok, i'd just add a "relative" checkbox that would only move the origin without changing geometry position (if unchecked, it'll move everything)

It feels like it would solve your problem rather easily to parent a null/empty to the mesh, then have your lights point at that instead of the mesh.

But, here's a node solution that may work for you in some cases: blendermarket.com/products/bb-nodes-add-on

BB Reset_XYZ allows you to at least reset the origin point.
