Auto-Relax brush setting
Blender currently has an auto-smooth feature when sculpting. However in some situations an auto-relax or an auto-surface-smooth would be a better way to help keep a cleaner mesh.
Both these features are selectable options in the mesh filter tool via droptown; could we bring this ability over to other brushes?

It would be nice to use your proposal's title to actually let people and search engines know what your proposal is.
This was recently prototyped and worked pretty well. Basically a slider for shape preservation under the Auto-Smooth slider.
I edited the title to be more representitive.
I thought there were brushes already for those filters. Mainly slide relax brush and smooth brush set to surface mode.
What we need are brush modifiers, as requested by redwax here: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/27NW/
Then we can add all the cool effects in it 🙂
