daylight system

Hi, I wonder that if the dev team consider to add some sort of daylight system (like in 3dsmax) for more specific coordinate and time based lighting or at least link sunlight and sky texture together somehow in cycles? and for eevee, is sky texture going to work with it any time soon? Thanks,

Perhaps you could use the Dynamic Sky add on?

The Dynamic Sky add on is nice (although not in 2.8 yet). But I agree with egementncr, a daylight system would be great. Maxwell render have a very nice one. If we use the physical sky it changes colors with the time of day and height of the sun.

Another great thing would be if blender adjusted the position of the sun light according to the latitude, date and time like it was said. I know there is an add on for a sun path (it's not ready for 2.8).

These option would be great for architectural sun simulation and visualization, and would speed up A LOT setting up a scene.

* @ugosantana * Is it the position of the Sun lamp that would change, or the angle?

It might also be nice if such a system could attenuate / colour the light according to how far above the horizon the sun is!

Or - Better yet - When they port DynamicSky to 2.8!

Yes! Maxwell does that automatically with phisical sky. I don't use DynamicSky but it seems great
