NodeEditor Add Group Submenus
My first post here so I'm not sure if this is already covered.
I make extensive use of node groups, both within individual projects and linked from external utitlity blend files. The upshot is that I end up with a huge list of node groups in the add->group menu.
Many of those node groups are only intended for internal use by other node groups and don't need to be in the menu at all.
My suggestion is that the Node Editor Interface Tab could have a text field "Location", default blank, that would specify the location of the node under the Add>Group menu.
Location: "" would mean top-level, Location: "Shaders" would create a sub-folder "Shaders" (if it didn't already exist) and put the node group in there, Location: "Shaders/Brick" would create a sub-folder of "Shaders" called "Brick" and put the node group in there, etc.
Additionally The same Node Editor Interface Tab could have a "visible" toggle or similar, default enabled, and turning it off would not put the node group in the Add Group menu at all.
I have no idea how practical this would be, but anyway it's something I've wanted for a while.

It's planned.
This will be tackled by the Asset Browser. There you will be able to tag specific node groups as assets, have categories, etc.
