Multiresolution "Erase" Brush
Like in Zbrush I think it would be very helpful to have a brush that can erase data on the multiresolution levels. One option that I know is to project a new Multiresolution modifier on the old one while ignoring the vertices that need changing (this is not practical and it takes far too long).
Example: youtu.be/Zp07GW3rND0 from "FlippedNormals"

Maybe something like the "snapshots" feature that is present in the sculpt branch ( twitter.com/pablodp606/status/1217566096615792642 and twitter.com/pablodp606/status/1217586855564271616 ) ?
* @Shimoon * didn't know that existed. I wish i knew about it before. Thank you, it will probably serve as a solution atm but i have to try how it performs on higher subdivision levels of Multiresolution.
* @donaldcela200 * However, its not in the master branch yet and I dont know when this tool will be available
* @donaldcela200 * Even better! Seems that Pablo have heard your prayer :p twitter.com/pablodp606/status/1293223861828321280
And its now in the master branch : developer.blender.org/rB478ea4c8988b924800937094e55e3e21ef5a16a5
* @Shimoon * learned about it from twitter, haha that was insanely quick! Thanks again for the info Shimoon :)
* @Shimoon * Sorry but what does master branch mean? When might it be available for download?
* @unknowndinodev * Basically, the master branch is the principal one that you can download on the official website in the daily builds ( builder.blender.org/download/ ). Each features like sculpt, grease pencil, vr, etc... has their own branch. From times to times, devs push part of their code to the master one when they estimate that their tools are ready to be merged.
So for the snapshots feature from the sculpt branch, its up to Pablo Dobarro to merge it when it will be ready.
