On-screen feedback during Eevee still frame render

Currently, in Blender 3.1.0 for Windows, there's no indication of whether or not a still-frame [F12] Eevee render is actually processing or just frozen.

Perhaps something like "Elapsed Render Time 00m:00s", "Estimated time to frame completion" or "Estimated render progress in percentage" would be nice -- just so the user has some idea that they need to wait for the render to complete and that it's actively in progress.

In similar renderers, elapsed render time showing the seconds tick by is usually what I use to gauge whether or not things are progressing. And "Percent of frame render completed" is a nice way to tell whether the render's going to take too long for the time budget.

Good point! IMHO aside from the tile completion which Eevee doesn't have, we could have at least the same as Cycles:

demo picture Though if I understand it, the issue comes from because the rendering process of a raster engine like Eevee isn't in progressive like Cycles, the image you get is the final rendered image. But even then, it wouldn't hurt to have something that shows it's rendering, something more than the info bar:

A more verbose EEVEE frame render status is overdue, especially with EEVEE Next coming out in a few months in Blender 4.2. I am currently rendering an animation with thousands of frames and if I didn't start Blender from the CLI and start monitoring GPU utilization I would have thought EEVEE rendering is hung. @Pablo, if you are reading this, it may be considered a UI issue
