Something else in favor of C: it has an actual type system that is statically checked and easy to manipulate, unlike python's which is total garbage and drives me nuts every time it denies me simple operations I am trying to execute.

This would add a lot of complexity, using C/C++ would be better (it would actually reduce complexity as they could get rid of python and probably directly provide the routines they use internally). Also using C/C++ you could do things in a straightforward way if you wanted to.
