Change to blender interface to help animation workflow
In a nutshell, I would like to have the choice for each type of transformation to choose local, global, etc. For instance, when I am animating rotations, I almost always want to be in Local mode. When I am animating translations, I almost always want to be in Global mode. I would like to specify which mode I am in for each transform. It is time consuming to keep switching back and forth between Local and Global when moving from rotation to translation. Even though I seldom animate scale, I would like the option on scale as well. On rotations, mixing global and local orations can produce some undesirable effects. I have been using Blender, exclusively for many years, but back when I used to animate in 3dsMax and Maya, I used to be able to set this. It save a lot of time and aggravation when I forget to switch while I am animating.

I only managed to set this option on a radial menu (hold a key + move mouse). I wish it could be a simple hotkey for each axis. My current gizmo axis hotkeys in 3dsmax and Maya are;
(key = local)
(shift + key = screen(view))
(ctrl + key = world)
But i can't do that in Blender as far as i know. So yea, as an animator i use these keys more than 1000times every day, it should be a option, i'm upvoting this.
Those are you personal choices. You have a lost of costumization capability from blender and you can save the startup file or the costumization file for each workflow you like
No, the issue here is that settings like Transform Orientations are shared across all transform tools. Which means you can't for example have your rotation set to Local and your move set to global. You have to change the Transform Orientation each time you change tool.
Exactly. Thanks.
