Search bar in Blender Preferences window
I am just gonna simply put it here. Everyone knows what a search bar is, and how it can be so helpful in finding something quickly. It's like the perfect tool to find a needle in a haystack.
We saw this implemented in the Properties Panel . So, i would also love to see this in the Preferences panel as well. This will save a lot of time for many people.
Here are two examples of how the Search Bar can be implemented in UI :

I think that search input need resize and maybe combo to check where to limit search to some categories.
Assuming you mean ' search ' as in Preferences item ' display filter ', I think I would probably want to adapt relevant-looking code more like that in
