Aligned curve axes (some logic please!)

Ok, I know why 2D curve exist in the XY plane. But why curve-bevel along curve is aligned this way? Let`s stop this illogic thing! Proposal: at least Z of profile (as dept axis) along curve-guide (as second positive axis Y) This switch -Z to +Z will not break old files, but it will add some order into axis alignment.
