@cheeseyscones One of Blender Usability rule state: all you can see, you can edit. Hide elements are not editable and not selectable, except in Outliner that you can select hide elements. Reporting not bug you have only waste developer time to make Blender better. Maybe you can be interested to know more of Blender wiki.blender.org/wiki/Reference/UIParadigms and wiki.blender.org/wiki/Reference/AntiFeatures

* @NiCapp * So do you feel this is not making Blender better? I'm not sure what you mean by '...not bug...' sorry. Can you explain?

* @NiCapp * Through dope sheet's "Show Hidden" filter, you can see, select and edit the keyframes, even if the object itself is hidden in viewport.

There is a filter to "Show Hidden" object's keys visible in the dope/curve editors.

* @mahesh0806 * Yes I investigated that but it doesn't work well. Also the syncing of the keys to actual animation is out if keys are shifted in timeline.

* @mahesh0806 * I posted a bug report here so you can see problem developer.blender.org/T87552

* @cheeseyscones * oh! you meant in the Timeline editor! Yes, the timeline editor does not show keys when object is invisible. Yes, that's a good feature request. I checked your file. In dope sheet editor, the filter works properly. After enabling the "Show hidden" filter, I could continue seeing the keys even when the object is hidden. I also tried to move the keys. It still worked. But yes, the timeline needs that similar feature.
