Sculpt: Implement ZBrush Style Navigation for Sculpting
Instead of emulate 3 button mouse (using ctrl, shift, alt) for navigation (which currently does not work in conjunction with the newly added 5.1 masking hotkeys like alt and ctrl alt), implement ZBrush style navigation - when dragging with the stylus in empty space, you rotate. When holding alt and dragging on empty space, you pan. When holding alt, start dragging on empty space, then let go of alt, you can zoom when dragging.
A large majority of sculptors are using a stylus/tablet. When even basic navigation with a tablet, the most forefront and foundational feature, is conflicting with basic settings such as masking, you're instantly off to a really rough and frustrating time trying to figure out how to change hotkeys or make things work. ZBrush's system is simpler, quicker, more intuitive, and the industry standard for sculpting/tablet navigation. I genuinely think so many more people would switch from ZBrush to Blender given this change.

I would also love to see this added. As someone who transitioned from ZBrush, I was really surprised that tablet navigation was so much worse in Blender. I currently use the mouse look navigation add on, but that has its own issues with conflicting keymaps and what not so big thumbs up if we could have official tablet/sculpting/zbrush navigation.
But why do you enable 3-button mouse? It's only to compensate for mice that don't have the wheel button required by the default keymap to navigate in the viewport, but most styluses since the mid-to-late 2000s have two side-buttons, one of which you can set to Middle 🖱️ .
That's a good question. It's mostly just comfortability. It's surprisingly awkward and I tend to misclick often. Keyboard shortcuts always just feel and work way better for me. Most of the sculptors I know also just disable the buttons right away, but not sure if that's entirely representative
