Official torrents for Blender
Dear developers! As far as I know speed of download was very low, when B2.80 and RCs was released, because many people around the world want to test Blender`s awesomeness right in the day of release.
But why torrent system still not in use. All users can support each other`s downloads. It is situable for big releases, I think.
In our social net group we already have made few mirrors with release versions because too many newcomers asked why they can`t download Blender from official site with decent speed.

On a side note, for those who are looking for a free, open-source cross-platform and ad-free bittorrent client, this one is not bad at all:
qbittorrent.org
Even if they will not provide them, we can create them as magnet links. As long as the official files have the md5 checksum calculated and posted on their download page, anyone can verify the authenticity of the torrent downloads. qBittorrent client is of great help here and a good choice.

As for the download speed itself, you can also download Blender through Steam. It seems that the latest version was there the same time of the release, so you don't have to rely solely on Blender's server. Torrents might be a good idea too!
* @iemersonrosa * me personally just grabbed fresh release versions before official announces, because russian community monitor uploads and inform me. Uploads was made 5—150 hours before anounces. But I am thinking about other people and cross-help. Steam is requre registration and client with advertisment, so it is not good way at all.
