Material Simplification for Viewport Render— Eevee

Eevee is shaping up to be a fantastic new addition to Blender in almost every single way. However, one slight issue arises that could somewhat impair its functionality.

I refer to computationally-expensive nodes, such as Bevel. While of course we always want the highest quality render for the final image, sometimes it just isn't necessary to have every single expensive node active in the viewport. This can be manually fixed by muting these nodes for each and every material, and then unmuting them for the render, but this is really not very practical.

My proposition, then, is to add a option to Blender that will globally disable certain nodes for the viewport render in Eevee. This could easily be fit into the already-existing Simplify tab. Adding this feature could greatly speed up workflows, and perhaps even make Eevee more usable to people with less powerful machines.

YES! THIS!!!

I'd love to have the ability to disable all normal maps or subsurface scattering maps for faster animation.

complex meshes with several high resolution normal maps using an armature deform modifier still brings eevee to its knees, making keyframing difficult and fast playback impossible (when the A/V sync option is skipping 12 frames every "tick" )

@lgowans1984: Yeah, that could be pretty useful. Simply disabling the normal input/ignoring any normal input could probably work?

This is a really great idea. I've run into this issue many times. I'll forget a node is muted for preview purposes and let a render run overnight only to see that I don't have my procedural grunge map turned on.
