[Parametric mesh editing] Type in edge length to transform selected vertices/ edges/ faces
Parametric mesh modeling would be amazing. It could employ the edge length overlays that are already present in Blender. The idea here is that by any selected vertices, faces or edges move along with the edge whose input is changed. This allows for a clear visual indication of what is moved in which direction and most importantly allows for easier and accurate modeling.
It should work as follows:
- Select parts of the mesh to transform
- Select the edge to transform along
- Pick the edge's length box and type in it's new length. Here you should input which part of the edge is moved (top, bottom vertex or from the edge center).

{attachment Untitledpng}, enable the addon Mesh:edit mesh tool. Keep experimenting with blender, lots of things are hidden..
* @mrajendra2150 * Thanks for the tip, but this addon only affects one edge, whereas I want to affect all of a selected mesh based on changing one or multiple edge lengths.
* @mrajendra2150 * Wherever possible some of these addon features, just one or 2 per addon, need to be properly integrated into the main Blender program. For example the 5 features of node wrangler that everyone uses all of the time. I have no idea what other features node wrangler has because I've never needed them.
