Reel Time render for Water SIM // Open GL

hi everyone ..
Just like many of us i m willing for the Mantaflow branch . But recently i ve been asking some very fast draft of water sim; I know these kind of stuff take a loooong time to be rendered correctly i suggest the implementation of a powerful Water simulation through the Blender Open GL renderer. i Know Mr Jean phillippe Grenier (Ubisoft Engineer) is working hard on this topic. So my question is : Is this thing possible in Blender ? jpgrenier.org/riverrenderer.html

That isn't an actual fluid simulation. What you're looking at is a subdivided plane moving in a certain way along with a procedurally generated texture to create the illusion that water is flowing around the bumps. Notice that there are never any actual drops in the water, only waves. This technique is more of a cheat than an actual simulation, and would work great for something like a simple river, but for a more complex simulation, like maybe pouring water from one cup into another, this would never work.

It wouldn't fit for a river either if the water goes faster.
