Allow advanced selecting in weight paint mode

When selecting faces in weight paint mode, we should be able to increase and decrease the selection with CTLR + and CTRL -. That would be a time saver, since selecting faces one by one is very annoying when it comes to very complex meshes.

While we're at it, how about being able to select edge loops as well.

Upvote, but if you use <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>+</kbd> and <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>-</kbd> in Edit Mode and switch to Weight Paint mode your selection will be there. I suspect the reason you don't have the ability to do that directly in weight paint mode is because the polygon display and polygon selection algorithms may be different to the Edit Mode algorythms. You may notice selecting polygons is much faster in Weight Paint mode than in Edit Mode if your mesh is ridiculously high poly. I bet it's because Weight Paint mode doesn't process the edges or something else that would prevent from having the same amount of control over our selection. But if I'm wrong, I would really like to have more advanced selections in Weight Paint mode because it would be much faster. However I don't want Weight Paint mode to get as slow as Edit Mode.

I agree. Let's see what some developer who knows the details of that feature says to this. :)
