A patch have been made thanks to @jfranmatheu developer.blender.org/D14759
must have feature.
Curves have custom color since they can have thickness, what we need is the viewport color in material tab to work when they're just wires.
custom color define by user like a the bone group colors, this per each object type
* @Salvador Garcia * In my opinion, that doesn't help much, because you can have like 10 empties there for different kind of purposes, located very close of each other.
