Unlimited light sources in Eevee like Cycles is impossible (as for any render engine actually) simply because the more lights you will have in your scene, the more rays you will produce and the render engine have to calculate all these rays (so informations to render each pixels). It would means that your graphics card can caluclated an unlimited amount of information to render a scene, which is absolutely not the case. This is why you have a limited number of light bounces in every path tracers render settings. Its a bit different for rasterisation engines like Eevee but the idea is quite the same anyway
* @Shimoon * im try the same scene in cycles - everything is ok i think this issue in core of code in eevee may be must be limited but if that why limited is this number exactly . i have no idea about code - i think if this number is above that is will be ok if must be still limited in final version if any ability to do that .
So specifically what is the feature that you're proposing?
* @Jason van Gumster * for make blender 2.8 can deal with unlimited light source
* @ahmedyounis.design * Evee is «realtime» engine. So perhaps lights amount will be limited by libraries or videocard, not just by memory.
* @ Vyacheslav * mmmmm not limited by video card - i have new one rx 580 8gb . i thing this is in blender code - any way i suggest to make it unlimited for cover all needs for all artists - i faced this issue in my work when i work with complex scene - also this issue found in godot engine version 3 - i'm not sure this is also in ue4 and unity or not i hope to solve it .
yes i was msg @Clément Foucault since one year ago i believe and said until that time is limited but will solve it later . but still found it and this is not good for big and complex scene i hope to found solve for this issue in final release
* @ahmedyounis.design * I think, it should work the same way as game engine do: switching on lights only there, where they visible.
* @ Vyacheslav * yes i sometimes do that but in others projects you need the all open area to emission and lighting for bounce and reflect from part to other in all area
Perhaps it is limit for evee. It is documented (128)
