Vertex Group Menu Improvements
Right now when you open the vertex group menu with Ctrl-G there are no options to select/deselect the Active vertex group. This is very useful for seeing what your current vertex group contains if you're continually adding to it. So I'd suggest that the functionality is moved to the Ctrl-G menu along with the weight, which would be useful for some modifiers.

Addon can do that easily.
@Brent Liu: Yeap, this looks like 5min addon. But imo that is as common and handy that it could be added to release.
@Brent Liu: An add-on could easily do this. But it's also not something I'd consider as additional functionality. It's supported functionality, I'm just suggesting it should be easier to access.
Good idea. I'd also find it useful if the active vertex group name was shown there. To give more information to the user about what is active at the moment. That would also allow you to use the ctrl-g shortcut without having to have the vertex group editor open all the time as well.
@o7216059: I agree with this. Having the modifier tab open is nice while adding groups. :)
