custom panels

Would be cool if you could create custom panels which could contain any parameters you wanted from the blender interface.

Using Custom Property and Drivers is the closest feature right now but it feels sorely lacking. Drivers 'hard code' parameters and Custom Properties input is limited to letters and numbers. You can't even arrange the properties and control how and when they are drawn.

I'm working on a script just to get a custom UI to display things properly to be user friendly and it is such a pain since I don't actually code and this is probably the only time in my lifetime that I'll be touching blender python ever.

My interpretation is that you want a "Custom UI Creator" , is that it?

If so then I suggest changing the title into something more appropriate.

You would need to be a lot more specific for a proposal like this. Where would the custom panel go? What would the process be for how users add things to it?

Have you tried the Favorites menu? ('Q' By default.)
You can add almost any function you want to it.
Right-click almost any UI button, and there is an option to 'Add to Favorties'.

* @LilacDogoo * The quick favourites menu could use some more work. It has annoying ability to shorten the tool names to be almost unrecognizable in some cases. For example merge by distance (old remove doubles) is named just "By distance" in the q menu.
