Scene profiler
A profiler for big scenes to to see what objects impacts viewport and render performance. It often comes down to polycount, so it could be a simple polycount counter. It could be a seperate tab in the outliner.

not really, if we'd have a profiler it should take in account everything, sometimes it's a specific modifier like a subsurf, or an armature modifier, sometimes it's the ammount of polygons, or a the ammount of keyframes displayed in the graph editor, all of this would be important to evaluate to see where are the bottlenecks.
* @Luciano Muñoz * I agree. Idealy we should have both the polycount including modifiers and overall scene impact.
* @Luciano Muñoz * Yes. Polycount alone is not enough. There should be more statistics, like polycount, textures used, shader complexity ......
yes ! also memory usage !
It is planned, see #156220 - Tracy Frame Profiler Dependency Proposal - blender - Blender Projects
It would be great to have something like that. As this will depend on each project, I think it should include a menu where to adjust the limits for our project, for example, maximum polygons per object, maximum size and weight per texture, and so on. I mean, indicate when the indicator should turn red.
