path tags in the output path field
There is a good addon called Path Maker that turns tags into path components, so you can automatically name your output file based on different aspects of the scene.
extensions.blender.org/add-ons/blender-path-maker/
It works the same as the way adding ### to the output path will be substituted with the frame number.
So for example with a scene called "Fooscene_v01", and rendering camera "BarCam" you could make your output path
/somefolder/<scene>-<camera>_###
and that gets substituted as
/somefolder/Fooscene_v01-BarCam_123.exr
Unfortunately the add-on does not work with CLI rendering, which is where it would be really useful. Also the interface requires a bit of Python knowledge to use well.
A built-in render path tag system would be so useful, and would help prevent accidentally rendering over existing files when you copy a scene.

In Blender 4.5 you can already do this. docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/files/file_paths.html
