Preset system for File Browser filters

I would love to be able to set presets for specific filter configurations in the File Browser. There are a lot of different menus, dropdowns, toggles, etc. to navigate when filtering, which is very powerful but tedious when you want something specific very often. The filters get reset every time you re-open the file browser (or Append/Link something), which doesn't help.

My own use case would be to have a preset of the following filters, specifically for Appending/Linking:

• Only Assets = On
• Recursions = Blend file
• .blend Files = Off

I found this is a great way to browse for Assets using your existing folder structure instead of the Asset Browser's catalogs. The filters makes it so .blend files are replaced by the assets they contain, while still allowing traditional folder navigation.

This would be so much more appealing if it wasn't 6 clicks through two different menus and scanning for the right options, every single time you Link/Append.
