Material node Green screen keying
Being able to key out Greenscreen from image/planes in the Material Nodes would improve work flow rather than using the compositor. (even viewing the composited result in the 3d view is inefficient because it is composited by layer, not object and you can't see thru each individual object)
Would anyone be able to explain any complications with just porting the composite node "Keying" to material Nodes?
Best workflow now is to Pre-process a greenscreen video to a transparent png sequence and then using that output in an image/plane in a 2nd blender file.
Thank you

There are shader node groups wit about 1/10th of the features of that compositing node group. Perhaps you can hire someone to make you a more powerful node group.
It would make sense to allow all the compositing nodes in a shader. They would produce 2D textures.
And probably massive performance hits too.
No, no, no.
Generate the key externally and create an alpha. There are far better free tools already out there for this.
