Add a message when using Subdivision/Solidify before Mirror
Some users mistakenly apply other modifiers before the mirror modifier. This is fine in some cases, but problematic in others where vertices stray from the mirror plane.
I'm proposing a small message in the mirror modifier when merging is enabled and a subdivision/solidify modifier precedes the mirror modifier. Experienced users are already aware of this behavior, but I think it'd be useful to add this message to inform newer users of this behavior. It's a common issue on blender help/support forums.

To "apply a modifier" already means something very different:
IMHO this shouldn't be used interchangeably to mean having a modifier in the pile, it will lead to confusions. Other words like "having" or "using" are better suited.
That being said, I'm not sure whether this is a good idea. There are a few modifiers that can require specific positions depending on the situation, I wouldn't expect the software to tell me what to do, and I would hate to have every possible position-sensitive modifier to waste screen-space and create visual noise just to tell me I may or may not need to put it somewhere.
