Editable Motion Path for Animating Objects and Characters (rigs) in Viewport
Hello,
Could official blender foundation's developers develop official editable motion path with handles for faster and better animation in viewport? ** I know we have one old motion trail addon (bugy and unstable, for blender 2.65 version) but it is now usable. Look how every other popular 3D softwares have this functionality:

I would like to contribute in donating for this important addon project! Thanks.

It is hard to understand how the Blender developers team doing all this 3d movies and does not implement this feature after all this years.
It's hard to believe you think developers make movies. ;)
And check the motion trail addon, it's shipped in blender by default.
* @-L0Lock- * Cartoons :) AS i now this addon is a total glitch, right?
I use it, its just not as complete as it should. And not compatible with 2.8 yet, afaik.
And no, devs don't make cartoons either. Developers write code and create the software, that's all they do. :P
* @-L0Lock- * Ok, got it :D Still think this feature will be highly useful in blender.
weeeeeeeeee
hey, is this dead? I've been waiting for this feature to be implemented ever since I became a professional animator. Doing thing without editable motion trails is possible but very time consuming. I am currently using an addon, but since the addon has to do lots of workarounds, it is far from perfect and having this a core feature would be way more appreciated. I think this is basically one of the few features that makes Maya still more competent soft for 3D animation.
This is sooo important feature for 3D animation. TnT the only thing I miss from Maya...
Ok, so this is the most upvoted feature for animation yet over the 4 years no developer has found a time to implement it? Does the feature proposal even work?
Note that there's the Motion Trail addon for that (but its last update is from blender 2.73, it may be obsolete now).
That would be handy. Generating then contrainint to paths would have this kind of editing - converning motion trails to paths. But that's a clunky workflow. Automating motiontrail conversion and editing would be handy.
