Zen tools for Blender Please!
Maya has Zen Tools which you can add on. It aligns all your existing vertices on a curve and lets you modify that curve afterwards. The loop tools curve mode tries to do this but the cubic curve messes the other vertices that you have not selected as well. Is it possible to get the tool to only adjust the points in between the vertices that you have selected. like zen tools: youtube.com/watch start watching at 3:50 min in
I have made a comparison of what loop tools does wrong.
This is loop tools: ibb.co/Zg4TF6C
and this is how zen tools does it: ibb.co/DtLnGtR
This is the only reason why I have not left Maya for a complete switch to blender

you mean something like this
* @Craig Jones * yeah but Zen tools does it exactly between the range of vertices selected not breaking the rest of the mesh. not sure how to get the loop tools to work vorrectly
* @testure * I already have the mesh shaper. that does not clean up unaligned vertices. It just moves a row of vertices based on the curve. lets say if you have already modeled a car but your surface has imperfections. Zen tools can clean it up. It cleans up the already existing vertices. you just have to pick a start vertex then the apex of the curve and the end vertex. Then it lines them all up for you. Where as the bazier shaper will just move that entire shape on the curve like a wire deformer
* @testure * {attachment bezier_mesh_shaperPNG} bezier mesh shaper only works if i select a flat row of vertices and start from there. It can't clean up an already existing messy geo
* @o0o8a8ieo0o * okay, i think i see what you mean. as an addon developer, I can say with confidence this would be pretty trivial functionality to add to Bezier Mesh Shaper (assuming it doesn't already exist, I honestly don't use it that much). If you presented the idea to the author of that addon they might be interested in adding it as a feature.
* @testure * yeah I guess I could find the author and request it. It is a different operation since I never have to move the in between vertices and it just grabs them all and lines them up for me as opposed to being a curve deformer
It was a bug which has been fixed. You can now get the expected result.
