How Positive/Negative Align work GIF

What Suggested

Make Positive/Negative Aligns work per element same as Ordinary Align can.

I see two ways how to implement it in interface.

  1. Make it work when Individual Origins is enabled. Intuitive to use like in Ordinary Align but Positive/Negative Align can't use Active Element, 3D Cursor and Bounding Box modes. It have no sense. So this way of implementation is kind of rough.
  2. Add new separate menu for Per Element Align .

Why we need it ? My case.

(GIFs from 2.79 but in current 2.8 08.06.2019 it work same way )

I had task to made large number of "Volume Buildings" from spline contours to represent surrounding area by dropping it on top of scanned data mesh and extruding " boxes".

So I thought - I subdivide plains which I get from spline contours then drop them by Shrinkwrap to get scanned buildings heights. Image

Then in Individual Origins mode align all by Z - Positive and extrude down. But I found things don't work this way ....

Image

So I have two ways. First - select each one and do Align Z - Positive .

Image

Second - use Ordinary Align because it work per element with Individual Origins and then adjust Z position manually for those parts which stay too far from scanned height...

Image

Now imagine how much time I spent to make it for such number of buildings and how much easier life can be (not only in this case) if Positive/Negative Align will work per element.

As always - thanks for reading. Also you can check my other suggestions .

PS I try to find Align menu in 2.8 and I can't. In 2.79 too ... Always use PIE for aligns so I never tried to find ordinary menu and now I realize that there is no Aling submenu somewhere in Mesh menu where I expected to see it ... Or I miss something?
