Object Domain Attributes

This proposition may or may not be in the works, but I haven't found descriptions of it anywhere. It would be nice to have a top level object domain attribute for the whole Geometry.

This way multiple objects could be setup by in their own Geometry Nodes and those objects being read as a group from a collection info in another Geometry Node and converted from object domain to other domains.

A particular use case I have is, since I'm doing some particle simulations in Geometry Nodes, I would like to have an array of forces for my particles to interact with., which would be easier if the force fields parameters could be read directly in the Geometry Nodes.

I came here to make the same feature request. We are already able to access attributes on geometry but we need to be able to use the ones stored on objects. Material nodes already has this ability. Geonodes is behind.

Not really, but I may have to reply in this thread, because I have a work around solution to that, albeit tackling it differently.

The idea would be to have a Geometry domain. The top level Object itself holds the attributes, instead of the smaller geometry parts (like points, mesh parts, splines, etc.). This way I could create, for instance, replacement for the particle forces that I could reference and and use directly in another geometry nodes. If the attributes are stored in the top level geometry, I wouldn't need to loop through all the Geometry Elements, such as the vertices of a mesh, in order to recover those values. So they would be more performant and lightweight.
