changing contrast with a SLIDER, not with the dropout menu !

Hello

i think that a proper slider could be more useful that this "high, very high, medium high" drop out menu, i mean you experiment and you try when you tweak an image , you dont order it like a steak in the restaurant, a medium high contrast ? heck is that :^) we should play with contrast in terms of values !

That's pretty much what the Gamma slider is. The dropdown menu actually gives you the choice of different LUTs.

* @Josephbburg * even if it is Luts, slider can be steppy Int like -3 — +3

You can already do that with "use curves". That gives you much finder control than a single slider ever could. The drop-down is necessary because you select from a number of predefined curves, afaik. So, these are just presets. Gamma is different, because it basically just bends the curve up- or downwards, while changing the contrast is more like creating an S-curve.

* @michael * not everyone like using curves

* @dodododorian * Why is that actually? They are not that hard to learn and give you much more granular control over the image.

I wonder if those are adhering to some kind of standard for photography though, I'm not sure myself. If not then yea I think that is a nice idea.
