World node output to compositing
Add the option to select the "World node output" directly into the compositor as a separated render layer.
The concept is to allow filter nodes to by directly applied to the World background node, without affecting other render layers.

What's stopping you from using the environment render pass? Or a render layer if you need the full environment and not just a cutout?
Sure, I can do that. Yet, it requires an unnecessary amount of "setup". It wouldn't hurt if the "World Node Output" option could be in the "Render Layers" by default. It is only a suggestion to simplify some unnecessary steps in Blender.
