Blender Grease Pencil Tool to Import Inkscape SVG as Grease Pencil Layes
It would be nice if there woulld be a tool in blender so that inkscape svg image can be directly imported into blender as grease pencil objects organised in layers so that it can be easily animated or rigged.
I have written a small plugin which is at alpha level it only supports simple SVG images created in inkscape and organised in layer s. At present it supports path rect circle and ellipse in inkscape.

Great add-on, thanks for your effort and to be generous enough to shear it with community. as much as I know this feature is under develop.
If I'm not wrong, Grease Pencil branch must have it inside for test. I don't test it myself but it is one of the feature that I really expect for GP too.
