Geonodes: Make "Delete Only Edges and Faces" behaviour consistent with Edit mode.

[EDIT] This problem occurs because selections in one domain don't transfer well on another. When brute forcing through edge indices to ensure I have the correct edges selected, the behaviour is as expected.

Original post continues below.

In these first two images we see the behaviour of deleting edges, in edge mode, selecting the option to delete "Only Edges & Faces" Screenshot 2025-02-05 113339.png Screenshot 2025-02-05 113433.png

In these next two images, we see the result of issuing an identical command in Geometry Nodes. Using the identical selection, with the command Delete Deometry, selcting the Edge Domain and selecting to delete Only Edges and Faces components of the mesh. Screenshot 2025-02-05 113830.png

Note that the result is entirely Different.

Changing domains also does not allow for the behaviour to match.

For this specific case, I would argue that while using Delete Geometry using Edge Domain and selecting Only Edges and Faces to delete, that the result should be identical to selecting the same option in Edit Mode using Edge Selection. Below is a mockup of the desired result using the ssame Geometry Nodes setup Screenshot 2025-02-05 113900.png

Did you tried to use different edge indices?

It seems the problem perhaps stems from making a point selection and expecting that to work in the edge domain. It's not clear to me how to get the edges of these exact points
