Multi thread decimation
while sculpting decimation needed some times when were working with heavy meshes , if it became multithreaded it would be nice
A very small proof : decimation in rhinoceros is multi threaded too beside it keeps the surface quality along ( i do added screenshot idk why it isn't here )

I'm not related with this, but for some reason it seems to me that this is not very possible.
why geomagic can do the same ?
I don't know anything about what you have given as an example. And also I am not affiliated with this tool, maybe the developer knows how to do it. I'm just assuming that without dividing this into a complex pipeline, it will just be a triangulation variant. Although, again, this is just a doubt of a person who does not know anything from the outside.
mcneels rhinoceros mesh decimation (reducemesh) is multi threaded and keeps mesh smooth .
I think it could be a google summer of code project, nvidia shared clue (and code) on how it would work for parallelization in this conf : nvidia.com/en-us/on-demand/session/gtcspring23-s51567/
